Where can I start the tour?
From Central Star Ferry Pier 7, or any of the 14+ Big Bus stops across the city.
How do I activate my ticket?
On the day of travel, use the Big Bus Tours app to activate your ticket. Once your ticket countdown has started, simply show your activated ticket to the driver to board.
If for any reason, you can't activate your ticket via the app, you can still show your printed ticket or QR to a member of staff at one of our stops or aboard the bus. They'll issue you a paper ticket that you'll be able to use to hop on the bus throughout the validity of your ticket.
What are the bus times?
Daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, frequency varies by route (30–60 mins).
Do I have to specify a date of travel?
Yes – select your start date when booking. If your ticket includes extras, follow your confirmation email for additional steps.
What is the child ticketing policy?
A child ticket is available for children aged between 3 and 11 years. Children aged under 2 may travel free of charge. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Is the tour accessible?
Yes, lower decks are wheelchair accessible (max 650 lbs). Upper decks are not. Attraction accessibility may vary.
How do I get a refund?
To request a refund, if booked directly with Big Bus Tours visit the Big Bus Tours App or by using the enquiry form available on the website bigbustours.com/contactHKG. If you booked via a 3rd partner, please go back to the original booker agent for your refund request.
Is there onboard commentary?
Pre-recorded commentary is available on all buses in Mandarin, English, Korean, Italian, German, French, Spanish, Cantonese and Japanese. Complimentary ear phones are provided, or you are welcome to use your own
Is a Star Ferry ride included?
Yes, this ticket includes a roundtrip (return) Star Ferry pass.
Can I access all three routes?
Yes, the Essential Ticket includes full access to Red, Green, and Blue routes.
